Saeed Amidi

Saeed has been a technology investor since 1996 and co-founded Amidzad with Pejman and Rahim in 2000.

He is a serial entrepreneur and a seasoned executive with over 23 years of experience in founding, operating, and growing successful companies.
He has been closely involved with more than twenty new emerging growth companies, of which 2 became public companies (PayPal (acquired by eBay) and Preview Systems). His investments include DoveBid, Crosslayer Networks, Paypal, Affinity Engines, Gabbly and Sigma Quest.

Saeed co-founded the Amidi Group in 1980, a conglomerate of privately-held business enterprises consisting of several domestic and international entities with significant manufacturing, distribution, trading, retail, and real estate holdings.

For the past 23 years, he has chaired and spearheaded the operations and management of a number of the Amidi Group entities, growing the aggregate value of its assets under management to over $250M.

Saeed is an active member of the technology community and a frequent contributor to numerous charitable foundations. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO), a world-class network of Fortune 500 CEOs, accomplished serial entrepreneurs, and veteran financial executives.

Mr. Simmons is currently Entrepreneur in Residence for Draper Richards, an industry leading early stage venture capital firm in San Francisco, and has just completed terms as a CEO for two early stage firms in stealth mode!

Draper Richards is looking to fund entrepreneurs with the energy, vision, experience, and a burning desire to build great companies.

He has experience as a senior marketing executive with sales, applications engineering, and operations experience at both start-up and established high technology firms. He serves as a board observer for WiDeFi, a wireless semiconductor firm, Nusym Technologies, a semiconductor EDA firm, and Sylvan Source, a water purification firm.

He previously served as Vice President, Marketing and Sales for both Conductus and Superconductor Technologies (Nasdaq: SCON), the two leading suppliers of superconducting wireless systems who merged in 2002.

Previously, as Product Marketing and Applications Manager at Therma-Wave (Nasdaq: TWAV), a leading semiconductor metrology manufacturer, he launched the company's first competitive product which eventually became the market leader.

Earlier, he served in marketing and sales management positions at Nanometrics and KLA Instruments. He gained broad experience at Hewlett-Packard applications software, computer systems, and microwave semiconductor divisions as Product Manager, Production Engineering Manager, Production Section Manager, Wafer Fabrication Engineer, and Regional Sales Engineer.

Mr. Simmons holds a BS with Honors in Applied Physics from California Institute of Technology and an MBA from Harvard Business School.

DC Cullinane, CEO, Thinking Voice
DC is widely known as a pioneer in the online performance based marketing arena. While at Impulse Buy, DC drove both the revenue share and pay per click relationships that Impulse Buy closed with its 400 merchants. In fact, the industries first pay per click deals were closed by DC back in 1998, at 50 cents per click. He continues to be a large advocate of performance based marketing and has invested in a number of start ups in the category.

He has 15 years of experience in sales management and business development. DC was a founder and Vice President of Sales of Impulse Buy Network which was sold to Inktomi in 1998 for over $113M. At Impulse Buy Network, DC grew the merchant base to over 400 branded online merchants including Walmart, Lands End, J. Crew, Barnes and Noble, and The Sharper Image. DC also served as VP of Sales for Vendio, a leading auction services company.
