US-based venture capitalists are increasingly stepping up their world-wide leadership. There's an emergence of truly global venture capital firms, uniquely placed to provide assistance that's both operational and international.

And not a moment too soon: as any startup worth their angel funding these days knows, building a better mousetrap is only the beginning. Succeeding in the marketplace is the real challenge and building a company that's global in scale is ever more necessary.

So register now to join them on Nov. 2 at DLA Piper in San Francisco-and learn about strategies and tactics that work across continents and borders--for investors as well as growth companies.

Some of the things you'll learn:

* How venture capital's current zest for globalism is changing the startup game is it an opportunity, threat or possibly both? and their recipe for building traction worldwide
* The difference between global and international funds and why this matters
* What the increasing professionalization of overseas VCs means for investors and startups in the Valley
* Current stumbling blocks for startups that want to tap into global markets and how VCs can help
